Brazilian Moves Abroad for Love and Finds Shock
This article revolves around a 49-year-old Brazilian construction worker who sold all his belongings and traveled over 1,900 kilometers from Imperatriz to Belo Horizonte in an attempt to meet a woman he connected with on social media, whom he believed to be the love of his life. He later discovered that this person was an AI-generated character and does not exist in reality. It turned out that the account he had been communicating with was created with the purpose of attracting interaction and financial gains, and was not connected to a real person. The person responsible for the account confirmed that the character was artificial and that the goal was to increase engagement; even they were surprised by this. Despite the shock, Martins still hopes to find a real life and plans to return to Belo Horizonte to seek a genuine relationship.
