Bomb threat on Tel Aviv flight
An emergency landing incident occurred involving an Austrian Airlines plane that departed Tel Aviv heading to Vienna, which diverted to Sofia after receiving a bomb threat. The crew informed Bulgarian authorities while the plane was on the border between Bulgaria and Romania, leading to the deployment of Bulgarian air forces and a comprehensive security sweep of the passengers and crew, including a search with police dogs. After the inspection, it was confirmed that the aircraft was free of any bomb, and the flight was redirected to an alternative destination. There were 51 passengers and 6 crew members on board. This incident is part of a series of repeated security warnings in air travel stemming from unconfirmed security threats.
