Aoun Calls for Lebanon Peace Effort
Lebanese President Jozef Azoury emphasized that Lebanon insists on a diplomatic solution to the crisis with Israel, despite Israel’s ongoing daily violations in the south that hinder the country's objectives. He called for an end to tensions within the country. Azoury welcomed any efforts by the Arab League to support Lebanon in overcoming this difficult phase, affirming that a diplomatic solution is less costly than war. He pointed out that continued violations increase the Lebanese people's attachment to their land and rights, while also obstructing the country's stability. This statement comes at a time when Lebanon is advancing its political and diplomatic course, demanding an end to Israeli violations so that the state can implement its strategies on the ground.
