Patriarch Yohanna IV on public's reliance on Church
Patriarch John X confirmed that the Church is under pressure from all sides, especially when governments fail to meet the demands of the people. He clarified that the Church is not a miracle-maker but strives to be a witness to the love of Christ. He explained that he seeks evaluation only from God, and that he is focused on the current reality of the Church in Lebanon and its outreach, emphasizing its role in strengthening the Antiochian identity and fostering communication among the people, while avoiding politics and bias. He also affirmed that the Church is strengthened by its faithful and that it will remain alongside its brothers, committed to the message of coexistence in the region.
