Saudi Arabia intercepts 5 drones in east and Medina
Saudi Arabia announced that it intercepted five drones launched toward the kingdom, including some over the city of Medina. The Saudi Air Defense Forces destroyed four of them in the Eastern Province and Medina. These attacks come amid an escalation by the Iran-backed Houthis, who have carried out attacks on Saudi Arabia this month, including an assault on Riyadh Airport that resulted in the death of 13 people and injuries to hundreds. This is the most severe attack in over a decade.
