Revolutionary Guards target US ships in Gulf
A source told the Fars News Agency that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard targeted four ships in the northern Gulf. Information indicates that the ships were either American or were transporting American cargo. The Revolutionary Guard also announced that four ships carrying oil were damaged, and fires broke out on three other ships near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran confirmed that U.S. escalation and its incitement of ships to pass through the mine-laden strait could increase maritime accidents, and that continuing the American approach might lead to expanding the confrontation to include their bases in the region.
