Putin: Kyiv lands are historic Russian territory
Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that the territories Kyiv lost are not "their lands" but rather historic Russian lands. He emphasized that it is inappropriate for Kyiv to speak about regional losses. He stated that the people of Donbass and Novorossiya voted in favor of joining Russia. Putin considered Europe's threats of war with Russia as a "psychological schizophrenia," confirming that European peoples do not want to fight Moscow, and that Russia also does not seek war with Europe. He accused Kyiv and its Western supporters of using Ukrainian citizens as consumable material, pointing out that half a million people have fled service in the Ukrainian army. He also stated that Kyiv chose war on its own, reiterating that Russia will accomplish its specific goals and fulfill its declared missions.
