Visit to UNHCR at Al-Abbasiyah Shelter
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) organized an inspection tour of the Abbasiyah Shelter Center, which is designated for receiving displaced families in Lebanon, in cooperation with the Union of Municipalities of Tyre District. The tour reviewed the preparations and work carried out to improve the living conditions of the families, who previously lived in schools. The Commission emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination with partners to meet the needs of the displaced and to provide a more suitable and dignified environment for them until they can safely return to their homes.
