The U.S. presidential aircraft’s flyover of the White House startled Washington residents on Thursday evening. It made two passes two minutes apart during a Halloween celebration, while Donald Trump waved to children from the ground. The Federal Aviation Administration said the flyover had been coordinated with it and required a temporary suspension of traffic at Ronald Reagan National Airport. The flight alarmed some residents, and the city council criticized the short notice. An AlertDC notification was issued about 21 minutes before the first pass, according to its stated timestamp, while the council said the warning arrived only about 15 minutes beforehand.
