Strikes Escalate in South
Southern Lebanon saw an Israeli escalation that included drones flying at very low altitudes near homes, airstrikes, artillery shelling and a field demolition in several towns. No casualties were reported in a strike targeting the area around the olive groves in Wadi al-Hujair. The newspaper *Maariv* quoted security officials as saying that Israeli plans included preparatory and deep strikes, a naval blockade of the ports of Beirut and Tripoli, and preparations to occupy Tyre, Sidon and Nabatieh if Hezbollah carried out a military operation. The report did not clarify whether the escalation was directly linked to the anticipated US strikes on Tehran.
