Tensions rose around the Minieh Serail on Monday evening, and the road was blocked in both directions, after a father and his sons were detained following an altercation at a security checkpoint on the Arman road. Their relatives gathered to demand their release, with attempts to storm the building. The Minieh police unit asked for ten minutes to complete its investigation, before a large army force arrived at the scene as tensions continued.
