Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that electronic warfare units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forced two U.S. MQM-170 reconnaissance drones to land south of Qeshm Island. U.S. forces had targeted radars and missile-launch platforms on the island. A U.S. official said the limited strikes were a defensive measure in response to the use of surface-to-air missiles against U.S. assets, while Iranian officials confirmed that communications between the two countries were continuing to end the war.
