Israel Warns Beirut as Strikes Continue
Israel continues to escalate its operations in southern Lebanon, conducting sweeps with machine-gun fire and artillery shelling around Tyre and Bint Jbeil, as well as in the Wadi al-Hujair and Wadi al-Saluqi areas. Reconnaissance aircraft are also flying intensively over Sidon and its outskirts. Meanwhile, Hebrew-language media reported that Tel Aviv had warned the Lebanese government to deploy the army and curb Hezbollah’s movements, threatening extensive air and naval strikes that could target the Bekaa Valley, Beirut’s southern suburbs and state infrastructure if Hezbollah joins a confrontation in support of Iran.
