US Nuclear Strike on Iran
Iranian television broadcast guidance for citizens in case of a possible nuclear strike, including taking shelter, avoiding light, and using packaged food. Iranian officials, meanwhile, affirmed the country’s readiness and said its target bank had been updated. The guidance followed claims by American commentator Tucker Carlson that the Donald Trump administration might launch a nuclear strike on the “Pickaxe Mountain” nuclear facility. No other sources have confirmed the claims, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow had no confirmation of them. Analysts consider a nuclear strike unlikely because of its radiological, economic, and international risks, and expect negotiations to continue—or, if they fail, limited conventional strikes to be used.
