Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir visited Northern Command and the 91st Division on Wednesday and conducted a field tour in Khiam, southern Lebanon, where he reviewed a “robotic combat team” model. He said any attempt by Hezbollah to establish a presence, bolster its capabilities or threaten northern communities would be met with an immediate and forceful response. He added that the group, in his words, “is an Iranian arm, not a Lebanese national force.” Zamir praised the integration of robotic and technological tools into operations and affirmed that the army would continue striking Hezbollah and strengthening defenses along the border.
