A dive trip at Kuda Rah Thila in the Maldives turned into a confrontation at a depth of about 18 metres on October 28. Chinese dive instructor Xiao Du accused three divers of assaulting him and trying to remove his mask and the mouthpiece connected to his regulator. Maldives Legend said a dispute had begun between the instructor and one of the guests, and that members of its crew had intervened. The company announced that it had temporarily suspended one of its instructors. It referred the case to the authorities, while the National Sailing Federation called for a comprehensive and transparent investigation. No official findings have been released so far.
