Iran asks Putin for help
Iran and Russia are holding talks on an arms deal that could include S-400 air-defense systems. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, sent Mohsen Rezaei to Moscow with a message for Vladimir Putin requesting that the systems be supplied to Tehran to make up for damage to its air defenses caused by U.S. and Israeli strikes. At the same time, authorities distributed iodine tablets to residents near nuclear facilities in case an attack causes a radioactive leak. Reports cited Iranian officials who believe war is imminent, with the Jabal Fas site among the potential targets.
