Voting has begun on the final day of New Zealand’s general election, amid concerns about the cost of living, the economy, housing and healthcare. The centre-right coalition led by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon is competing against the Labour Party led by Chris Hipkins, while smaller parties could determine the makeup of the next government. Polls close at 7 p.m. local time, after which results will gradually come in as votes are counted by hand.
