The legislative elections in Algeria have been launched to elect members of the People's National Assembly, with the participation of around 25 million voters. There are concerns about low turnout and a lack of enthusiasm among citizens. Polling stations opened starting at 8 a.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m. Approximately one-third of the electoral lists have been rejected due to reasons related to money corruption and failure to meet gender and youth representation standards. Observers expect the victory of parties close to the ruling authorities, despite these challenges. More than 9,854 candidates from 32 parties and 125 independent lists are participating in the electoral process. Results are compiled immediately after voting ends and will be announced temporarily within 48 hours, with the Constitutional Court receiving appeals before the final announcement, which will be made within ten days.
