Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander Ahmad Wahidi appeared publicly in Tehran to participate in the farewell ceremony for the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. This was his first public appearance since the outbreak of the war in February. Photos showed him holding the casket and performing the prayer during the funeral rites, which are being held in several Iranian cities, including Qom and Mashhad. This comes amid ongoing developments related to Khamenei’s death and the appointment of his successor, Lieutenant General Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, to assume leadership.
