Fars News Agency published a video showing how Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf was affected during the funeral ceremony of the late Iranian Leader, Ali Khamenei, in Tehran. He appeared overcome with emotion, tearing up and raising his hands to the sky in touching farewell moments. Ghalibaf emphasized that "revenge for the martyr is to free Muslims from the oppression of America and the Zionist entity," and that "Iran’s deterrent power will prevent any attempts to launch new wars in the region," reaffirming Iran’s ability to face threats to its stability. The funeral processions for Khamenei continue in several Iranian and Iraqi cities, with large public attendance and tightened security measures.
