Clashes in Hudaydah cause multiple fatalities

Yemeni Minister of State Walid Al-Qudimi announced the death of 15 government forces in clashes with the Houthi group in Jabal Dabas area in Al Hudaydah province. The fighting also resulted in the killing of more than 50 Houthis and the injury of dozens. He explained that the western coast front is experiencing ongoing military escalation, with attempts by the Houthis to breach government positions. The government forces have repelled these attacks and protected key defensive sites in Jabal Dabas. These developments come after a period of relative calm, amid continued escalation in the southern part of Al Hudaydah province, amid fears of a breakdown of the ceasefire and a return to widespread fighting.
