Egypt supports Gulf nations militarily against Iran
The statements confirm that Egypt provided military support to the Gulf States in response to their requests, to counter what they describe as "Iranian attacks." Support began at the onset of the Iranian escalation and included political and material aspects, such as military aid, with Egyptian forces stationed in the UAE to assist in enhancing its defensive capabilities. Egypt links its security with Gulf stability and emphasizes its full support for the unity and sovereignty of Gulf countries in the face of Iranian threats.
