Djibouti migrant boat sinking leaves 109 dead
Ninety-nine migrants died, including 15 children, and more than 116 others went missing after a boat carrying around 350 people from Djibouti to Yemen capsized. This disaster is one of the worst migrant drowning incidents in the region and occurs amid increasing dangers of crossing the Red Sea under difficult conditions, without sufficient measures in place to reduce the fatalities.
