Prophet's Mosque hosts millions of worshippers
The Prophet's Mosque in Medina experienced an unprecedented surge of visitors last September, with more than 21.6 million pilgrims receiving blessings from Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Approximately 1.45 million visitors also performed prayers in the Rawdah Al-Sharifah. The relevant authorities provided a variety of services, including spatial guidance and guest care, benefiting hundreds of thousands to ensure well-organized visits and facilitate worship. This remarkable activity highlights the mosque’s significance from a religious perspective, as it is the second holiest mosque in Islam. Its facilities have a capacity of up to 229 gates and 10 minarets.
