The Russia–Africa Media Forum in Moscow, attended by African media organizations including the Libyan News Agency (LANA), discussed ways to reclaim the narrative about the continent and counter stereotypes that reduce it to war, poverty and underdevelopment. LANA Board Chairman Abdulbaset Abudiyeh called for producing content that reflects the realities of Africa and Libya, and for strengthening cooperation and news exchange among media organizations. He also highlighted a memorandum of understanding between LANA and RT aimed at presenting a realistic picture of Libya and countering negative narratives.
