Morocco's New Timing Decision Reshapes Transportation and Trade Routes

Morocco will officially adopt its geographical time (GMT) permanently starting from September 20, which will change the time difference with Spain. During winter, the difference will be one hour, and in summer it will increase to two hours, leading to changes in maritime transportation schedules and trade exchanges across the Strait of Gibraltar, as well as impacts on border crossings and supply chains with Europe.
