Volunteer attack at Tangier Stadium causes concern
Activists circulated a video on social media showing an assault on a young volunteer inside the Grand Stadium in Tangier during the "North Derby" match between Ittihad Tanger and Moghreb Tetouan, with the latter being part of the crowd control team. The tension in the stands led to the young man being attacked, and security personnel intervened to contain the situation. Widespread reactions expressed solidarity with the volunteer and called for the perpetrator’s identity to be revealed and for an investigation to determine responsibilities, although no official announcement has been made yet regarding the detention of the suspect.
