Cocaine smuggling foiled at Tangier Port
Customs and security services at the Tangier Med Port successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 48.3 kilograms of cocaine. The drugs were hidden inside the refrigeration compartment of a container coming from Rio Grande port in Brazil. After scanning the container with a scanner device, a thorough manual inspection was carried out, resulting in the seizure of the drugs, which were accompanied by a carefully concealed GPS tracking device. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and cross-border crime.
