Tangier hosts a week of books and arts
The city of Tangier will host the 14th Regional Book and Publishing Fair from October 10 to 16, 2026, under the slogan "Tangier, Port of Imagination and Harbor of Writers." The program will feature a diverse lineup that includes literature, thought, cinema, theater, visual arts, poetry, and music. The event will showcase prominent figures such as Abdelatif Khyliṭou and Mohamed Azouddine Tazi, along with seminars and meet-and-greets exploring the city's presence across various arts, as well as field visits to sites connected to Tangier’s history. Additionally, the fair will showcase new editions, honor the personality of the year, offer workshops for emerging generations, and conclude with an evening combining writing, poetry, and music—highlighted by the launch of artist Abdel Salam Al Khaloufi's book.
