Infantino Highlights Morocco's Infrastructure Lead
The Deputy President of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, praised the significant development of Morocco's football infrastructure, considering it a continental model in the achievement of sports projects. He highlighted the construction of modern training centers, advanced stadiums, comprehensive competition infrastructure, as well as new headquarters for football associations. He confirmed that FIFA has invested one billion dollars in Africa over the past decade, including 500 million dollars in the last four years, which has helped reduce the number of countries lacking stadiums meeting international standards from 26 to 40. He also mentioned that 9 out of 10 African national teams participated in the 2026 World Cup in the knockout stages.
