Riyadh Airport hit by missile attack
The missile attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh resulted in dozens of injuries, including five in critical condition. It was described as an assault attributed by a diplomatic source to the Iran-backed Houthi group. The explosion led to widespread evacuations and panic among travelers, with air travel halted and many flights diverted or canceled. This attack comes amid a rising pattern of Houthi assaults on Saudi Arabia and coincides with Riyadh's preparations to host two important international conferences in the energy and investment sectors. It was confirmed that both events will proceed as scheduled despite the deteriorating security situation.
