Ouarzazate expects snow
The Zagora Province in Morocco is preparing to face the upcoming cold wave, heavy snowfall, and torrential rains expected to occur. This is being approached through proactive measures that focus on increasing vigilance and mobilizing resources and specialized teams. Regional authorities have held meetings to ensure coordination and activate alert committees in 173 localities across 11 municipalities to enhance readiness. Special attention is given to the most vulnerable areas such as Tidli, Aymenouloun, Tndot, among others, with the aim of reducing isolation and facilitating rapid intervention when necessary. These measures are designed to protect residents from the impacts of rain and snow, especially in mountainous regions, and to secure transportation movements through coordination between local services, territorial communities, and partners.
