Injured Officer Promoted
Morocco’s Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, has decided to exceptionally promote a police officer injured in Agadir to the rank of security officer, in recognition of his sacrifice while on duty. The officer sustained serious injuries after a driver ran him over several times after refusing to comply and attempting to force his way through a judicial roadblock. The relevant departments have also been instructed to provide the officer with support and cover his medical expenses.
