The final rounds of the third edition of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Scholars’ competition in Prophetic Hadith began in Rabat on Friday, 30 October 2026. The event brings together 123 contestants, including 30 women, representing the Foundation’s branches in 48 African countries. The competition runs for three days via videoconference. Participants compete in three categories that combine memorization of Hadith, understanding its meaning, and knowledge of its sciences. A scientific committee comprising experts from seven African countries, alongside Moroccan scholars, will assess them. The initiative aims to strengthen young Africans’ connection to the Prophetic Sunnah, promote the values of tolerance and moderation, and deepen the religious and spiritual ties among the continent’s peoples.
