Mystic Unity in Essaouira
The 21st Atlantic Andalusias Festival in Essaouira concluded with a concert bringing together maâlemma Hind Ennaira and the HaPiyut Ensemble, in a musical encounter blending Gnawa music with Moroccan Jewish Sufi hymns. The ensemble’s 18 artists drew inspiration from piyyut poems in the book *Yigdal Yaakov*. The concert lasted around an hour and a half, while preserving the distinctive artistic character of both traditions.
