Yahya Yahya urges Melilla residents to send message to King Mohamed VI
Yahya Yahya, a former member of the Moroccan Advisory Council, called for a popular initiative—a message directed to King Mohammed VI, to be signed by residents of Melilla from all backgrounds—demanding the reopening of the Ferh-ghan border crossing, which has been closed since March 2020. He stated that this decision can only be achieved through direct intervention from the King and urged all segments of the Melilla community to unite and sign the message. He emphasized that the continued closure has severe social repercussions on families connected between Nador and Melilla. He stressed that this demand is humanitarian in nature and aims to restore the previous movement system between Morocco and Spain.
