Real Madrid schedules presidential vote for June 7
Real Madrid club has announced that the presidential elections will be held on June 7 at the club’s complex in Valdebebas, Madrid, with approximately 100,000 members voting through in-person participation and correspondence. This election comes after a long tenure of the current president, Florentino Pérez, who has been in office since 2000. He called for early elections following a decline in the club’s performance over the previous two seasons. His main challenger in the race is businessman Enrique Rikelme.
