Senegal dismisses coach Thiaw's boycott threat
Senegalese media reported that the Senegal national team delayed their departure from the country to prepare for the World Cup due to a dispute with coach Pape Thiaw, who threatened not to travel. However, the Senegalese Football Federation announced that the delay was due to technical issues related to the flight, denying any negotiations with him regarding his contract, despite reports that he has not received his salary since February. It is worth noting that the federation is facing a crisis of trust following the events of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, the aftermath of being eliminated from the African Cup final, and financial problems within the federation.
