Next week’s rare blue moon
The rare “Mini Blue Moon” phenomenon is expected to be visible early next week, as the full moon will be at its farthest point and appears smaller than usual throughout the year. This phenomenon occurs roughly every two to three years, when a second full moon appears in the same month. The first of May saw a full moon for this month.
