The focus is on the Syrian Foreign Minister's visit to Algeria, just days after Damascus announced its support for Morocco's territorial integrity. The two sides discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation and developing relations between the two countries. This visit comes after a shift in Syria's stance regarding the Sahara issue, as Syria confirmed its respect for Morocco's unity and sovereignty. Historically, Syria had supported the Polisario Front during the Syrian crisis. This reflects a regional policy shift amid the decline of previous alliances and calls to develop relations between Damascus and Algiers, moving away from past tensions with Morocco.
