Syria Criticizes Algeria Over Polisario Support
Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Shouibani has arrived in Algeria, marking the first visit by a high-ranking Syrian official since the political landscape in Syria changed following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. During the meeting with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation were discussed, including reactivating the joint Higher Committee and the Business Council, with a focus on energy, agriculture, and transportation sectors. Algeria aims to improve its relations with the new Syrian leadership while continuing regional political coordination, despite indications of a shift in Damascus's stance on issues such as the Moroccan Sahara.
