Complaint Filed Against Fès-Meknès Leader
A decision has been issued to dismiss a complaint against Abdel Wahid Al-Ansari, a leader in the Independence Party, by the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Fez. This came after examining the legal circumstances that prevent investigations into public money cases from proceeding unless at the request of competent authorities, such as the Court of Accounts or relevant agencies. This step aligns with the obligations of the new Law No. 03.23, which imposes strict restrictions on opening investigations and pursuing legal cases related to financial corruption. The move has sparked a discussion about its impact on the public prosecutor's role in fighting corruption.
