Muscat Securities Market experienced a recovery in August, rising by 0.6% with trading volumes increasing to 55.1 million Omani rials, amid increased interest from individual investors as the announcement of preliminary financial results approached. However, the indices declined despite this, while the market capitalization of the exchange exceeded 39.4 billion rials. Muscat Bank was awarded the "Best Performing Company on Muscat Securities Market" accolade.
