Astana preps for Sultan's visit

The Sultanate of Oman and Kazakhstan are preparing to welcome an important visit by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to Kazakhstan on October 5 and 6. It is expected that the talks will focus on strengthening bilateral relations across various fields, particularly economic and commercial sectors. The goals include signing new agreements and expanding cooperation in transportation and logistics services, with an emphasis on utilizing the ports of Oman as transit hubs to access the Gulf and Indian Ocean markets. The relations between the two countries are backed by an investment portfolio valued at around $3 billion, with Kazakhstan showing interest in Oman’s strategic location and its role as a vital transit hub for Central Asia.
