Oman’s Shift Toward Asia

Oman is moving to strengthen its relations with Central Asian countries through investment and economic visits, particularly with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, with the aim of transforming diplomatic ties into long-term investments. The initiatives include signing 20 cooperation agreements, establishing joint investment funds, and developing sectors such as energy, mining, agriculture, and transportation, all aimed at connecting the region to global markets through Omani infrastructure. These efforts are expected to diversify the Omani economy and enhance its role as a logistics and trading hub between Central Asia and the Gulf.
