The Investment Forum in the Aviation Sector focused on strengthening public-private partnerships and turning the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy (2040) into actionable projects and collaborations. It was explained that investment opportunities span from air transport services to land development around airports, economic zones, free zones, and logistics services, all aimed at transforming airports into comprehensive economic hubs that generate added value and create employment opportunities. The importance of expanding activities related to airports was also highlighted, including real estate development, hotels, and logistics services, leveraging the strategic location of airports to connect regional and international markets. Additionally, future fields such as foreign investment, emerging technologies, digital transformation, and capacity building of national personnel were emphasized, with the goal of making the sector more capable of keeping pace with global changes, enhancing its competitiveness, and ensuring sustainable growth. This supports economic diversification and consolidates Oman’s position as a transportation and logistics hub.
