National Framework for Enterprise Risk Governance Introduced

The Ministry of Labour in the Sultanate of Oman has launched a national framework for corporate risk governance aimed at enhancing the capacities of government institutions to systematically identify, analyze, and manage risks. This is part of efforts to improve government performance efficiency and achieve the goals of Oman Vision 2040. The framework seeks to unify national concepts and methodologies to reduce the impact of disasters and crises, increase institutional preparedness, and improve coordination among relevant entities. The initiative was introduced in conjunction with World Disaster Reduction Day and includes providing guidance and preventive measures, emphasizing the need for leadership and employee cooperation to ensure successful implementation. Additionally, the National Risk Registry has launched an English version to raise awareness about risks and guide the community, aiming to increase emergency preparedness and awareness.
