Police to set up free markets at borders

A decision has been issued by His Excellency Major General Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shirqi to establish free markets at Manfeh Al Wajjah, Khatmat Malaha, and the Empty Quarter, aimed at stimulating economic and commercial activity at the land border crossings. This decision allows for the sale of products and goods at competitive prices by exempting them from customs duties and taxes, thereby promoting tourism and supporting the logistics sector. It also contributes to enhancing travelers’ experience by providing a variety of shopping options.
