Sultan Launches New Identity of Civil Defense

Oman announced the launch of a new identity for the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, reflecting the evolution and independence of its system after 13 years since its establishment. This comes on the occasion of the authority's transition from being under the Ministry of Royal Oman Police to full financial and administrative independence, in accordance with Royal Decree No. 31/2026. The amendments include the organization of a new Board of Directors headed by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, increasing its powers in setting general policies, updating its organizational structure, and enabling it to develop its services and generate self-financed resources, thereby enhancing its capacity to protect citizens and residents and to respond to disasters more effectively.
